When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We also store the flashcards, buckets, reminders, and stories you create within the App.
Your information is used solely to provide and improve the FlashFlipper service: authenticating your account, storing your learning data, generating AI stories, processing payments, and sending reminder notifications.
When you generate stories or card translations, your flashcard content is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This data is used only to generate the requested content and is subject to OpenAI's data usage policies.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated requests using your credentials.
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
Google OAuth — authentication
Supabase — database and auth infrastructure
OpenAI — AI content generation
Stripe — payment processing (web)
Apple — payment processing (iOS)
Each service operates under its own privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, solely to operate the App.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@flashflipper.app.
FlashFlipper uses only essential cookies and local storage for authentication session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
FlashFlipper is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
